ABOUT THE OWNER

Patrick Murray is a Maryland native who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice with a double minor in Behavioral Science and Health from the University of Maryland - College Park. He earned his degree during his 20+ years in the law enforcement field.

Patrick started his law enforcement career in the summer of 1985 as a seasonal officer for the Ocean City Police Department. While assigned to the Special Operations Unit, Boardwalk Division, he earned two meritorious service commendations. He graduated second in his class from the Maryland Toll Facilities Police Academy in Baltimore, Maryland.

While a sworn officer, Patrick participated in varying divisions of the police services to include covert undercover narcotics, Special Crimes Enforcement Unit as well as uniform service.

Being in uniform allowed him to master basic criminal investigation techniques and to sharpen his people skills while responding to calls for service and directing or assisting in community-oriented police programs such as C.O.P.S and D.A.R.E..

The Special Crimes Enforcement Unit and SWAT team was Patrick's first contact with the new and emerging techno-surveillance and communications equipment available to law enforcement and the military - and some of this technology is now available in the home security market for the general public.

Patrick ended his formal law enforcement career serving as a Senior Investigator for the Humane Society of the United States (H.S.U.S). Traveling around the globe documenting animal cruelty, Patrick became proficient in planning, staffing and executing undercover operations, most using covert camera and audio recording devices as well as other techno-surveillance equipment.

Patrick formed SecurSpecs because he wants to use this experience helping the citizens of the Delmarva Peninsula.
